The second story is an interview on CNBC—and not the one in New York. This interview is out of CNBC in Europe. An interview like this just would never happen on any news network (financial or otherwise) in the United States, it's as simple as that. Central bank intervention in gold is mentioned prominently. The video interview is linked here.
And the last story (printed in both Barron's and the Wall Street Journal) is an example of notifying the public and closing the jail cell door long after the dangerous criminals have safely disappeared from sight. It's entitled "A Secret Time Bomb Made of Gold," and can be found enclosed in the following GATA dispatch. click here
I leave you with this "quote of the day", and although it is almost 100 years since these words were spoken, I'm sure the author would be horrified to see how right he was. Thomas Jefferson would concur:
This (Federal Reserve Act) establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President (Wilson) signs this bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized---the worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill.-- Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. - 1913
