SOC Has Mentioned The Food Shortage Problem Several Times

You may be familiar with Peak Oil, but have you heard of “Peak Food”?
Yes. “That’s right… Peak Food,” our Maniac trader Kevin Kerr tells us.
“On top of surging demand, extreme weather, poor farming methods, and even using grain crops as fuel, the worst is yet to come,” explains Kevin in an e-mail to The 5 he titled “The Fungus Among Us.”
“It's quite biblical, but the pestilence is here,” says Kevin. “Disease is spreading in the agriculture world, and it's not just one or two incidents. From disappearing bees crucial to pollinating fruit to citrus cankers… and now a ‘citrus greening’ disease in Florida just discovered last week. Word from my network of farmers is wheat fungus is coming back in full force. And soybean rust is back, too.”

Grain prices have pulled back a bit lately. But “Smart investors will see this is a good place to enter the market,” says Kevin.
“Regardless of what the government says, everyone's got to eat, and that means a lot of hungry Chinese factory workers if Beijing doesn't find a solution. The U.S. is counting on a record crop, and if Mother Nature doesn’t behave -- even with record planting of certain grains -- it's not likely to meet demand… meaning longer-term higher prices.”
