Polls, who needs'em?

Majority Dissatisfied With US Political System?
Tuesday, July 03, 2007 - FreeMarketNews.com
A new Zogby.com poll reveals a majority of those polled are unhappy with the current two-party system of government. At least 67 percent said they were dissatisfied with the current system while 31 percent said they were happy with it. A majority of Democrats and Republicans polled are unhappy with the two-party system. The poll shows 64 percent of liberals and 58 percent of Democrats believe more parties would improve the political system while only 38 percent of conservatives and Republicans said the same thing. Meanwhile, President Bush is reportedly holding philosophical discussions with trusted advisers over his own sinking poll numbers, according to the Washington Post. Bush is the only modern U.S. president to hold an approval rating below 50 percent for 30 consecutive months. (Gee, does that mean anything? ED.SOC) It may be that the president's sustained unpopularity - and his inability to raise his numbers - is coloring citizens' attitudes toward the entire American system. If so, this would seem to raise a red-flag for those who seek a continuation of "business as usual" in the Internet era. Staff Reports - Free-Market News Network
