Smartstox talked with the noted ‘International Speculator’ newsletter editor, Doug Casey, at the recent Cambridge House Toronto Resource Investment Conference. He gave us his comments about the US economy; his outlooks for gold, silver and uranium; why he thinks Bolivia and Canada should both be split into two or more countries; and what he thinks about global warming. (That’s quite a lineup!)
The US dollar has declined considerably over the last couple of years, but Doug believes it’s still headed to “go off a waterfall”. That means gold will be moving up considerably and Doug is looking for a four-digit price before long. And he’s looking for the metal to move against all currencies. He thinks the silver market will be more volatile and have bigger moves than gold, but uranium is still his favourite, given the supply/demand imbalance that’s in the making.
